![]() Getting to Sorrento isnt a problem, from whatever directions you are coming from. The reference point is Naples with its international airport, the Railway Station and the Port. If you are travelling by car you can use various motorways, from the North: go on the motorway A/2 Milano/Napoli, and continue until you reach the exit at Castellammare di Stabia; from the South: go on the A/3 motorway Reggio Calabria-Salerno and head towards Naples until you reach the exit at Castellammare di Stabia; from the East: go on A/16 Bari-Napoli motorway which joins onto the A/3 Napoli-Salerno motorway, continue up to the exit at Castellammare di Stabia. In all cases at Castellammare di Stabia you will come across the SS 145 which gives indications for the Sorrento Peninsular. For those of who are travelling by train you can catch the train from Naples to Sorrento, which takes 1 hour with the Circumvesuviana train. For those who prefer to fly there is a bus service from Naples Airport (Capodichino) which will take you straight to Sorrento, or booking a private trasfer; for those of who are travelling to Rome there is a bus service that leaves twice a day, arriving and leaving from Tiburtina Station, which takes appreciatively 3 hours to get to Sorrento. |
